The Ministry of Industry and Trade has asked Temu to eliminate commission and reward programs that require users to participate in business in Vietnam.
The Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has just received more information about the cross-border e-commerce platform Themu.

Accordingly, with e-commerce and digital economy – Ministry of Industry and Trade, Primary Innovation Pte.
The Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy reviewed and requested Teemu to supplement the dossier.
To date, Temu has submitted the second amended and supplemented application, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy is evaluating the content of the application according to Decree No. 52/2013/ND-CP (Amended).
During the process of completing the dossier, Temu fulfilled a number of requests from the Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy – Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Accordingly, temporarily stop providing e-commerce services in Vietnam (do not use Vietnamese when providing services on Temu.com website and Temu mobile application).
Users are warned that the e-commerce service is being registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Avoid promotional programs that do not comply with legal regulations on commercial promotions according to Vietnamese law.
In particular, avoid programs and models that require users to participate in business to enjoy many different bonuses and commissions in the Vietnamese market.
Previously, Teemu launched an affiliate marketing program with discounts of up to 30%.
Accordingly, when users click on the link in the article and install the Temu application, the user will receive 50,000 VND into their shopping account there.
In addition, users can promote products sold on the exchange and receive commissions up to 30% of the seller’s income.
